Library Rules

  • ★ The library is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all days except Sundays and Government holidays.
  • ★ No reader is allowed to take their personal belongings inside the library; they must keep them at the issue counter.
  • ★ Every student can issue two books on the borrower card for home reading for seven days. If the same book is demanded by another student, it will not be reissued for the next seven days.
  • ★ It is prohibited to make noise, talk loudly, or discuss with others inside the library premises.
  • ★ No reader should spoil books by putting ink marks or writing any matter on the pages of library books.
  • ★ A reader will be fined for delaying the return of books beyond the prescribed time limit. A fine of Rs. 1/- per day will be charged.
  • ★ If a book is lost by a student, they must pay one-and-a-half times the cost of the book or submit the same copy and same edition of the lost book.
  • ★ Reference books, periodicals, and journals will not be issued for home reading; they can only be used inside the library.
  • ★ If the borrower card (library card) is lost, a duplicate card will be issued at the cost of Rs. 25/- only.
